A Quick Life Review

A few things, not that my zero readers care, but both my work life and personal life have been busy. That’s good and bad in many ways but my hard work over the years is starting to snowball.

The best thing I’ve ever done in my life is go to #engineering school and learn how to trade. I’m not the best trader but I’m good at finding opportunities. Whether that’s in #realestate, the markets, or in my personal life.

Trading and investing

My investing and trading strategy has been paying off in spades because we’re in such a #technology driven bull run right now. Instead of a lull over the summer, I expect #NVDA to shoot back to the $400 to $500 level after its anticipated 10:1 split.

I expect this bull run to continue till after the election. After that, who knows but if the “buy the rumor, sell the news” saying holds, then we might see a sell off right after.

Trading wise I’m making some changes. I experimented with #options recently but come to find them to be a pain in the ass. Granted, buying 100 shares of NVDA requires you to mortgage your house but it’s easier for me to calculate risk vs reward ratios.

The moral of the story, for me, is to keep things simple and stupid; don’t overcomplicate trading and investing.

Hence going back to the good old strategy of trend trading. Just buy strong trend stocks when they hit all-time highs and ride them higher, then use a stop. It’s simple and stupid.

Personal life

A lot of things have been happening in my personal and work life. I’m still at the same old #AI company, so that hasn’t changed. I’ve been traveling a lot for work again and that interferes with #trading. That’s ok by me because I always do better when I do less.

On the fun side, I started refurbishing and wearing my late father’s watches. It’s a way for me to remember him and I admit, I’ve got bitten by the watch collecting bug. It’s an expensive hobby and I don’t think I’ll be buying a Rolex anytime soon but it’s nice to have a good-looking watch on your wrist.

The rest of my time is hanging with the family, BBQ’ing, and loving life. Hope you guys are doing well.
