Reorganizing Neural Market Trends
I have a tendency to keep switching between CMSs because I have too much time on my hands in the mornings and I like to experiment. Now, things have changed. I was forced into “retirement” back in November 2024 and had to build new income side hustles.
Those side hustles are keeping me busy and I have less time to maintain all the backend infrastructure (e.g. AWS) and need to cut costs. Above all, I always want a nice interface to write quick missives, so I’m definitely not going to use WordPress.
I keep coming back to Hugo as a CMS because it’s fast and easy to set up on AWS. The only rub is that it’s a bit clunky for writing my missives. What I want is a nice interface to write like WordPress but something simple and not bloated. Enter Blot (again).
Blot isn’t as fast as Hugo but it’s a lot simpler to write my short posts. Plus it has a very low monthly costs which is on par with AWS. So I’m going to switch from Hugo back to Blot as the backend, migrate the old stuff, and just start writing market related stuff again.
